The Taylor Academy 12e Grand Concert acoustic-electric guitar is designed to help the entry-level player achieve rich, rewarding sound from day one. It’s crafted to be inviting and durable, with a comfortable and lightweight body shape that enables easy strumming and fretting, and produces full, solid tone. The Academy 12e Grand Concert has a solid Sitka spruce top with layered sapele back and sides, as well as a genuine African ebony fingerboard and bridge. The neck is shaped in Taylor’s patented design, with a 24-7/8" scale length and 1-11/16" nut to enhance the overall feel and playability for entry-level players. It also has a simplified version of an armrest, in order to provide a comfortable, rewarding experience. The Academy 12e also includes Taylor's ES-B system, which incorporates piezo design elements from the flagship Taylor ES2 system. Powered by a 9V battery, its onboard preamp includes a built-in digital chromatic tuner, an LED display for tuning and low battery indication and a tone-sculpting 3-band EQ. The Academy 12e comes with a deluxe gig bag.
